A selection of images taken on the section of line between Ditton Junction and Latchford Run Round loop (Warrington), known as the Low Level, due to the fact it runs under the WCML at Warrington Bank Quay Station. The Low Level line is used mainly for the limited coal trains that feed Fiddlers Ferry Power Station along with the Gypsum and Limestone trains. However most of the traffic concentrates at the eastern end of the line and nowadays most of the photable locations have also bitten the dust for
numerous reasons. However, there are still some interesting and worthwhile shots to be had.
There are further images from the past (before 2010), on my 8A-Collection flickr site, please take a look if you have a minute or two.
